Alibaba HappyHorse 1.0 Gray Testing Launched

Alibaba's AI video generation model HappyHorse 1.0 officially launched its grey testing on Monday. This is a multimodal video generation model led by Alibaba ATH's innovation business unit, in collaboration with Tongyi Labs, Alibaba Platform Technology, and Taotian Technology. The development team is headed by ex-Kuaishou Vice President and Keling Technology Lead, Zhang Di.

In terms of access channels, professional creators and enterprise customers can register and use the model through the official website and Alibaba Cloud Bai Lian platform, while the general public can directly experience it by clicking the "HappyHorse" button on the homepage of the Qianwen App. In terms of pricing, the base price for video generation in 720P is 0.9 yuan/second, and for 1080P, it is 1.6 yuan/second; professional members can get as low as 0.44 yuan/second (720P) and 0.78 yuan/second (1080P) with limited-time discounts.

In terms of product capabilities, HappyHorse 1.0 is based on a 150 billion parameter, 40-layer single-stream self-attention Transformer architecture. It natively supports the joint generation of audio and video, allowing for the output of complete videos with soundtracks in one go, eliminating the need for post-production splicing. The model supports narrative in multiple scenes, fits multiple aspect ratios, and outputs upscaling to 1080P. It performs exceptionally in aspects of light and shadow in images, camera transitions, and the realism of characters, and has lip-syncing capabilities in seven languages (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, German, French). Ambient sound effects and background music can also be automatically generated according to the scene, eliminating the need for secondary processing.

HappyHorse had already topped the Artificial Analysis Video Arena rankings anonymously in early April, with both text-to-video and image-to-video scores surpassing mainstream products such as ByteDance Seedance 2.0, Kuaishou Keling AI 3.0, and Google Veo 3 Fast. The gray testing has been implemented as planned, and Agent platforms such as Alibaba Wu Kong, MuleRun, and JVS Claw have been synchronized to access. According to the official plan, HappyHorse 1.0 will officially release its commercial version in May.
