ASE Technology (日月光投控) posted NT$73.784 billion in July consolidated revenue, up 43.2% YoY, with its core packaging-and-testing arm growing even faster at 49.5% — AI chip packaging demand is accelerating the world's largest OSAT.

July unaudited consolidated net revenue hit NT$73.784 billion (roughly US$2.309 billion), up 12.2% MoM and 43.2% YoY.
In US-dollar terms the YoY gain was 30.6%, below the NT-dollar figure. This means → the NT dollar's appreciation against the greenback inflated the local-currency growth rate; the USD figure is the cleaner read on actual business momentum.
Either way, YoY growth above 30% is far beyond the semiconductor industry's typical single-digit swing.

What drove the growth?

The core ATM segment — assembly, test, and materials, the stage where designed chips are cut, packaged, and tested — posted NT$47.524 billion, up 49.5% YoY.
ATM accounted for roughly 64% of total revenue yet grew 6 percentage points faster than the group. In plain terms = the packaging-and-testing core is outrunning every other business line and acting as the sole growth engine.
This reflects a shifting bottleneck in AI chip supply chains — the constraint is moving from "can't fabricate the wafer" to "can't package fast enough," making OSAT firms the tightest link.
