BYD Launches 4nm Autonomous Driving Chip Xuanji A3
BYD Group Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu announced at today's intelligent strategy conference that the Xuanji A3 has been officially released. This chip, which employs a 4nm process, is currently the most advanced product among Chinese automotive-grade intelligent driving chips in terms of process technology.
In his speech, Wang Chuanfu emphasized BYD's chip development capabilities. He introduced that BYD has a chip R&D team of over 7000 members, with cumulative chip investment exceeding 100 billion yuan, and has established 4 major chip R&D bases and 5 wafer fabrication facilities.
BYD has now mastered all seven major stages, from product definition, architectural design, circuit design to wafer manufacturing, packaging, and testing. Wang Chuanfu claims that BYD is the only car company in the world with full-process, full-chain manufacturing capabilities for chips, a positioning that directly challenges the supply chain dominance of international chip giants such as Nvidia.
In advancing the commercialization of intelligent driving, Wang Chuanfu also announced on the same day that new users of "Divine Eye A" and "Divine Eye B" will enjoy a one-year urban navigation safety net service starting from the day they take delivery of their vehicle, for a period of one year. He expressed his hope to translate BYD's technological confidence into the market's practical confidence in urban navigation capabilities. This move has a clear market offensive significance, directly reducing consumer usage barriers with a guarantee, against the backdrop of intensifying homogenization competition among various car companies in intelligent driving features.
