China Reiterates Open Stance: Never Limited Foreign Investment in Tech Companies

The National Development and Reform Commission of China held a press conference today to respond to issues related to foreign investment. Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office, Li Chao, clearly stated during the meeting that China has never demanded that technology companies are not allowed to accept foreign investment, and emphasized that opening up to the outside world is China's basic national policy.

Li Chao noted that China supports domestic enterprises in integrating into the global innovation network and conducting mutually beneficial international cooperation. He also emphasized that foreign investment must comply with Chinese laws and regulations and must not harm national security and interests.

Regarding the business environment, Li Chao stated that they will continue to implement the Foreign Investment Law and its implementing regulations, promote the creation of a market-oriented, rule-of-law, and internationalized business environment, while also doing a good job in risk prevention and control.
