Could Apple end up using CXMT memory?
Industry-chain sources cited by foreign media say Apple and CXMT are in sample validation and partnership talks.
The reported framework is narrow: CXMT memory would supply only entry-level iPhones and iPads sold in China. High-end Pro models and units outside China are excluded for now.
Export-control rules bar Apple from deep chip customization with CXMT; it can only buy standard off-the-shelf parts.
