Iranian Media Announces Key Responses to the U.S. from Iran
The Iranian Tasnim News Agency, citing informed sources, reported on the 10th the key points of Iran's response to the US, including demanding the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control to lift sanctions related to Iranian oil sales within 30 days.
The report said that the Iranian response mentioned in the US "Wall Street Journal" is factually inaccurate in some important aspects, especially regarding nuclear issues. Iran's response stresses that an agreement must be reached through political understanding, to immediately end warfare, ensure no further attacks on Iran, and the US must lift sanctions.
Furthermore, Iran's response also involves changes in control of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran if the US fulfills certain commitments. The informed source said that Iran emphasized that after the signing of a preliminary memorandum of understanding, the US must immediately lift its naval blockade on Iran, and within 30 days lift sanctions on Iranian oil sales.
