Lenovo signs AI infrastructure agreement with Tianjin, stock price surges over 30%
Lenovo Group and the Tianjin Municipal Government have officially signed a cooperation agreement to build a new generation of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
According to the agreement reached between the two parties, Lenovo Group will utilize the existing Lenovo (Tianjin) Smart Innovation Service Industrial Park to invest in the construction of a new AI computing power product R&D and manufacturing center within the park. This move demonstrates Lenovo's supply chain planning in the field of artificial intelligence hardware manufacturing, with official plans to put the new production line of the center into mass production in the fall of 2027.
Affected by this news, Lenovo Group's stock price soared by more than 30% during trading hours, with the increase narrowing to 19% as of press time.
