Tencent Cloud announced on April 28th that CodeBuddy and WorkBuddy will implement a new billing plan starting May 15, 2026. The enterprise flagship edition price will be increased from 78 yuan per person per month to 198 yuan per person per month, an increase of approximately 154%, and the enterprise exclusive version will be increased from 158 yuan per person per month to 316 yuan per person per month, a 100% increase.

The two versions will be renamed to SaaS Enterprise Edition and Dedicated Cloud Enterprise Edition respectively, and will add WorkBuddy office capabilities, CloudAgent cloud intelligent body platform, and a monthly benefit of 2,000 Credits.

This is already the third price increase by Tencent Cloud this year. On March 11th, Tencent Cloud started charging for some AI models and adjusted prices, with some models increasing by 463.13%; on April 9th, the company increased the list prices of AI computing power, container service TKE native nodes, and Elastic MapReduce related products by 5%.

The consecutive price adjustments by Tencent Cloud reflect the overall pricing shift in the global cloud computing industry. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and Baidu Intelligent Cloud have all announced price increases for some related products, with the core reasons pointing to the rise in AI computing demand and hardware cost pressure.

The disagreement lies in whether the price increase cycle will become an industry consensus. On March 18th, JD Cloud publicly promised not to raise prices for its entire range of core products and implemented discounts for database, middleware, and other products, indicating that there are still different pricing strategies among cloud vendors.
