What does the Slovenia approval mean?
Tesla announced on September 8 that FSD Supervised — its driver-assist system that can handle driving but requires the driver to stay alert — is now approved in Slovenia and will begin rolling out.

Why does France's stance matter most?
France raised objections to a potential FSD approval in July, citing safety concerns — the loudest opposition so far.
But last week France's transport minister said that after a "constructive exchange" with Musk, France has begun testing two FSD-equipped vehicles.
This reflects a shift from outright opposition to cautious observation — though testing is not approval, and France's final position remains undecided.
Put simply = France is a major EU member. Its "no" vote carries far more weight than a small country's "yes." Only when France softens does EU-wide passage become a real possibility.
