U.S. Adds Three Chinese Satellite Imagery Companies to Sanctions List Over Iran
According to Bloomberg, the US has placed three Chinese satellite imagery companies on the sanctions list, citing the companies' provision of satellite imagery to Iran to assist in military operations against US forces in the Middle East.
The Chinese companies named include Meentropy Technology, The Earth Eye, and Changguan Satellite Technology Company. Secretary of State Rubio stated in a declaration on Friday that the updated list also involves related entities and individuals in Belarus and the UAE.

This action comes a week prior to the anticipated summit between Chinese and American leaders, bringing commercial satellite imagery, the Iran war, and Sino-American relations into the same risk chain concurrently.
The US State Department's accusations are divided into three categories. Meentropy Technology published open-source imagery showing US military activities during Operation Epic Fury under the name MizarVision, The Earth Eye is accused of providing satellite imagery to Iran, and Changguan Satellite is accused of collecting data on American and allied military forces at Tehran's request.
