China's Copper Concentrate Imports Fall for the First Time in Five Years in April

According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of copper ores and concentrates in April 2026 were 2.352 million physical tons, a significant year-on-year decrease of 19.57%; from January to April, the cumulative imports amounted to 9.915 million physical tons, a decline of 0.8% compared to the same period last year.
Since December 2020, China's cumulative imports of copper concentrate have maintained positive year-on-year growth, and this is the first decline in over five years.
