South Korea's Solid State Drive Export Prices Surged by 313% MoM in May
The latest data from South Korea's customs show that in the first ten days of May, semiconductor exports demonstrated a strong upward trend in both volume and price. Notably, the export volume of Solid State Drives (SSDs) skyrocketed by 607% year-on-year, and the unit price of DRAM series products increased by over 400% year-on-year, once again confirming the robust pull on storage chips from the global AI computing power expansion.

Export Value Surges Across the Board
According to the data from May 1st to 10th: the export value of Dynamic Random Access Memory (including modules) reached $4.366 billion, a significant increase of 375% year-on-year, and a sequential increase of 4%;
Excluding modules, the export value of bare-die DRAM was $3.492 billion, with a staggering year-on-year increase of 383%, and a sequential jump of 18%.
The export value of SSDs reached $1.061 billion, a sharp increase of 607% year-on-year, and a substantial sequential increase of 172%, being the most notable increase in this period.
The export value of flash memory (NAND) was $462 million, with a year-on-year growth of 169%, and a sequential increase of 1%, remaining relatively stable.
