Trump: The United States may need to strike Iran militarily again
U.S. President Trump said that the U.S. might have to "strike Iran once again," but it is currently uncertain.
On the 18th, Trump posted on the social platform "True Social" that at the request of the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, he had ordered not to carry out the planned military strike on Iran "tomorrow (19th)" as scheduled.
He stated that in view of the "serious negotiations" currently underway, and in the opinion of these leaders and allies, the two sides will eventually reach an agreement.
Trump also claimed that the Iranian leaders are currently "begging" to reach an agreement.
These remarks come at a time when the situation in the Middle East is extremely tense. There were previous reports that the White House, dissatisfied with the lack of sincerity in Iran's latest submitted peace proposal, was convening the president's national security senior team in the Situation Room for a secret meeting to thoroughly review military options against Iran. Trump's statement today confirms that the U.S. military's precise strike plan had already been on the brink.
